Fall Protection

 

 

This course is an intensive eight hour course based on the Worksafe BC regulations and certified by the Fall Protection Group Inc. (a unique, North American based company on the leading edge of fall safety and rescue). The students are trained in selecting the best fall protection system for their tasks. Harness and lanyard inspections are also an integral part of this course. Students are trained on the proper procedures for wearing a five point harness and are suspended by a tripod to simulate a fall into the protection gear. Each trainee receives a manual and a permanent wallet card upon successful completion. This course is offered at your worksite with all necessary equipment provided by the trainer.

The class maximum is sixteen participants with a minimum of four students. This course is offered at $245.00 per person with group rates available.

 

 
Mobile Equipment
 
 
These courses are certified by the Ives training group (North America's leader in training programs certifying beginners and general operators) meeting or exceeding the requirements of Worksafe BC and are full day courses. The trainee is provided with the theory of safe machine operation and given a practical evaluation. All mobile equipment courses are offered at your worksite minimizing the amount of downtime for each trainee, using your specific machine for the certification. Each student receives a training manual, a wallet certification card as well as a wall certificate of completion.

A four student minimum is required for each class. These courses are offered at $245.00 per trainee with group rates available. The maximum number of trainees for each type of equipment is ten students per class. This pricing is based on using the sponsoring company’s equipment for the training (classroom area and mobile equipment). Progressive Safety Solutions Inc. will supply the equipment and classroom for an additional cost of $100.00 per student. Aerial lift trainees are required to have valid fall protection training.

The above pricing is based on the training facility being in the local Prince George area. Any additional travel costs are negotiable at time of booking. Payment in full is required for each student upon completion of the training.

The sponsoring company receives all necessary documentation for record keeping.

All operator trainees must be able to meet the demands of training undertaken and supply the necessary personal protective equipment for the practical component of the training. Equipment must meet current standards for use and be in good repair.
